Lorain - Antoinette Marsico, 100, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at her home in Lorain with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Little Italy, Cleveland, OH on June 28, 1916 to her loving parents, James and Concetta (nee Romano) Romandio.

Antoinette moved to Lorain as a young child and she attended Clearview High School.

She worked as a waitress at a restaurant in the U.S. Steel Mill in Lorain where she met her beloved Anthony Marsico. They married on November 25, 1939 and they raised their daughter, Barbara together. She enjoyed volunteering her time and working with kindergarten children in the Sheffield and Sheffield Lake Schools. Antoinette was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed reading, working puzzles, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Marsico; sisters, Rose Mitock and Angeline Hicks; brother, Phillip (Janet) Alessandro; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years of marriage, Anthony Marsico; parents, James and Concetta Romandio; sisters, Nancy More, Concetta Szekely and Grace Alessandro; and brother, Brother Philip Alessandro.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 9:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 23, 2016 at St. Teresa of Avila Parish, 1878 N. Abbe Rd, Sheffield, OH, Rev. Edward Smith, officiating. Christian burial services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
