Rose Marie DiRenzo

Lorain-Rose Marie DiRenzo (nee Vitelli), 86, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home.

Rose was born in Lorain, Ohio on December 4, 1930 to her loving parents, Serifino and Edith (nee: Oddi) Vitelli. She graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1949A. Rose married Leo DiRenzo on November 24, 1949. She worked at Gelpack Produce as a bookkeeper. Rose was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain, St. Peter's Women's Club, active at the church picnics, and volunteered at the Palace Theatre. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, traveling, gambling, taking bus tours, and she loved to sing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Leo DiRenzo; daughter, Jeanette Ezso; grandson, Joe (Amanda) Ezso; sister, Jean DiSalvo; great-grand daughter, Faith Rose Elizabeth; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Serifino and Edith Vitelli.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440)244-1961 on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:20 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Fr. Craig M. Hovanec, Pastor, officiating.
