Elyria - Tyler Alexander Marrero, 23, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born December 11, 1992 to parents, Pablo "Rick" and Shelley (nee Coursey) Marrero in Lorain, Ohio. Tyler was a 2011 graduate of Midview High School where he was a catcher on the Varsity baseball team and also a member of the Paint Crew. He attended LaRoche College in McCandless, PA and also LCCC in Elyria.

Tyler was an accomplished and talented catcher and played with several elite teams traveling across the midwest and southern US. He also played three tours in Puerto Rico with C2C and the Puerto Rican International Baseball League. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his son, whom he adored.

In addition to his parents, Tyler is survived by his son, Adrian Marrero; sisters, Amanda (Raymond) Harker of Lorain, and Taneesha Marrero of Tennessee; grandparents, Larry and Sue Coursey of Sheffield Twp., and Sandy Harrell of Vermilion; nephew and nieces, Noah, Maddison and Kylie Kimmich and their father, Kyle Kimmich; nephews and niece, Berardino and Vincenzo Bonaminio, Xavier and Izabella Harker; his loving partner, Megan Miller, mother of his son; and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins .

He was preceded in death by paternal Grandmother, Myrna Marrero; maternal Grandfather, Joseph F. Harrell; and maternal Great-Grandmother, Pearl Landreth.

Friends and family may visit Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 41295 N. Ridge Rd., Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday Nov. 10, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul, Rev. Donald Dunson, Pastor, officiating and Deacon Edgar Gonzalez assisting. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a fund established for Tyler's son, Adrian Marrero at any First Merit Bank.
