Aida L. (Castillo Alequin) Munoz

Lorain – Aida L. Munoz, 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain, OH with her loving family by her side.

Aida was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on April 23, 1938. She attended Lorain High School and she was a seamstress at Joseph and Feiss in Lorain for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain and she enjoyed cooking, cake decorating and dancing. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years of marriage, Feliciano Munoz Torres; children, Elsie Munoz, James Munoz, Vivian (Mitchell) Fallis, Nelson (Norma) Munoz and David Munoz; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Alequin and Tomasa Castillo Alequin; and siblings, Milton Rivera, Edwin Rivera and Iris Hernandez.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 8:50 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain, OH 44053, Rev. William A. Thaden, Pastor, officiating.
