Angie Slaus

Angela “Angie” Marie, 48, of Lorain, passed away following a short illness on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Cleveland, OH on June 3, 1970.

Angie graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1988. She worked at Mr. Hero’s in Lorain, Lorain County Visitors Bureau in downtown Lorain, May Data Center in Sheffield and American Greetings/PCM in Brooklyn. Angie was a member of the Lorain Columbian Club at the Knights of Columbus in Lorain. She completed several 5K races in support of our local fallen police officers in Lorain County. Angie enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She was married to the love of her life, Dale A. Slaus on October 31, 2015.

She is survived by her husband, Dale A. Slaus of Lorain; mother, Helen Garbash of Lorain; sister, Becky (Derrell) Rankins; brothers, John (Carmen), Jimmy (Laura) and Joe (Lisa) Young; Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Ken Garbash; and Aunts, Lucille Mullins and Belva Dotson.

Angie chose to be an organ donor. She continues her generous ways of helping others with a final gift through Lifebanc.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Angie’s memory to the APL of donor’s choice.
