Charles J Mehringer

Lorain - Charles J. Mehringer, 88, formerly of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Anchor Lodge Retirement Village in Lorain, OH.

Charles was born on July 10, 1929, in Cleveland, OH. He graduated from high school in 1948. He served in the US Army at Camp Gordon. He then proceeded to serve in the Korean War.  He was a member of the VFW #451 in Lorain.

Charles worked at Lovelace Motor Freight for 24 years, in Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his wife Suzzette Mehringer (nee Mucha); parents, Carl and Leah (nee Smith) Mehringer; and sisters, Dorothy and Thelma.

He is survived by his 3 step-daughters; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain, OH with military honors by Amvets Post 32.
