Diana J. (Fowler) Flynn

It is with great sadness that the family of Dian Flynn announces her passing after a heroic battle, on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the age of 69 years.

Dian is a native of Lorain, graduated from Lorain High School in 1967, attended Lorain County Community College, and devoted much or her career and personal time to helping others. She worked at St. Mary’s Parish rectory for several years, then for Lorain County Department of Job and Family Services. After retirement, she continued to be a loyal participant in the church, enjoyed singing with the church choir, and travelled to many retirement and assisted living facilities to bring smiles to the faces of their residents through song and conversation. Her smile alone would make you smile.

Dian will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Michael and her children, Chad, Tina (Dan) Dydek, and Guy (Mindi). She will be dearly missed by her five grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan, Kendall, Harper, and Alexis, and by her brother, Verne Fowler. Dian will also be forever remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 1-3 PM & 6-8 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Parish, 309 W. 7th St, Lorain, Fr. Daniel O. Divis, Pastor, officiating. Memorial donations in memory of Dian may be made to St. Mary Parish, 309 West 7th Street, Lorain, OH 44052.
