Fran Bradley Obituary

Fannie “Fran” M. Bradley, 95, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Fran was born on June 11, 1923 in Lorain.

She graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1942A. Fran married her beloved husband, Samuel G. Bradley on May 4, 1946. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lorain.

At the age of 89, Fran retired from retail sales having worked at Higbee’s Department Store at Midway Mall, Lawson’s, Faroh’s Finest Candies, K-Mart in Amherst, Puffy’s Pastries, Medic Drug Store, and Walgreens Drug Store. She believed in celebrating life fully every day and carried the love in her heart to every person she met. Family was everything to Fran and she was a strong presence in the life of each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fran was an avid ballroom dancer and enjoyed dancing at Springvale Ballroom in North Olmsted where she met many lifelong friends. She enjoyed cooking traditional Italian food for her family, spending time with them, and celebrating holidays and milestones. Fran enjoyed socializing and was a member of St. Anthony Parish Canicians and Westshore Singles.  For several years, Fran was a Redcoat Volunteer at Playhouse Square enabling her to see Broadway shows while giving back to the community. Fran enjoyed playing Pinochle and similar card games with her friends. 

Fran is survived by her children, Jack W. (Debora) Bradley of Lorain, OH, Patricia F. Bradley-Wales of Campbell, CA, and Sam R. (Cindi) Bradley of Amherst, OH; 4 grandchildren, Jaclyn (Oliver) Palmer, David Wales, Samantha (Kyle Harriger) Bradley and Spencer Bradley; 3 great-grandchildren, Roma, Emmett and Tallulah, and many nieces and nephews.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Samuel G. Bradley; parents, John and Filomena (nee: Esposito) Rozzano; brothers, Andrew, John, Dominic, Michael and Anthony Rozzano; sisters, Mary Swigert, Janet Kraemer, Elizabeth Carrier, Angie Puhaly and Jenny Bucci.

A Memorial Service will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Road, Avon on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 am (Please meet at A-Frame Chapel). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Fran’s memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. BOX 15120, Chicago, IL 60693 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. BOX 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
