Luis A. Conde Sr.

Lorain – Luis A. Conde, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, OH.

Luis was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on May 19, 1956.

He was a member of Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal Ebenezer. Luis worked at Ford Motor Company from 1974 until his retirement in 2002. He was an announcer on the radio station for la Honda Cultural Latina and a DJ at weddings and special events. Luis was married on October 9, 1996 to Gloria E. (nee Soto). He enjoyed watching and following the New York Yankees, and he cherished his blue Ford Mustang. Luis was a part-time bus driver for Spectrum School and he loved and adored spending time with the students. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and he would always make sure he was there for them in their time of need.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years of marriage, Gloria E. Conde of Lorain; daughter, Selina (Jeff) Conde-Young; sons, Albert, Joe (Karen), Luis Jr., Jonathan and Joshua Conde; 5 grandchildren, Harold, Kaylani, Hannah, Aidan and Carina; sisters, Arlene (Tony) Thomas and Ivette (Stevan) Plaza Jr; many siblings in the U.S. and the island of Puerto Rico; mother-in-law, Gloria Soto; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tedeoro and Teresa Alick; sister, Estelle Alick; and dad, Federico Conde-Garcia.

Visitation will be held at La Iglesia de Dios Inc., 1607 E. 31st Street, Lorain, OH on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 3:00 PM until time of evening service at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at La Iglesia de Dios, Reverand Luis O. Fonseca, Pastor, officiating.
