Richard G. Kienzle

Richard G. Kienzle, 86, formerly of Lorain, North Olmsted and Westlake, OH, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Greenwood, IN.

Richard was born in Lorain, OH on August 25, 1931 to his loving parents, Charles and Elsie Veronica (nee Staron) Kienzle.

He was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1949 and Marquette University School of Accounting, Class of 1953. Richard entered into the U.S. Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1955. He was employed with the Federal Government as an Accountant. Richard resided in North Olmsted for most of his life, and recently Greenwood, Indiana. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and walking in the woods with his loving companion, Stella. Richard would cruise up to Marc’s in his beloved, white, 1978 Coupe de Ville to browse through the closeout aisles. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Kenny (Maggie) Kienzle, William (Mazzie) Kienzle, Katherine (Tim) Wright and Mark (Bridget) Sawusch; and grandchildren, Allison and Claudia: Leah (Lupita): and Samantha and Andrew.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florence (nee Homenik); and his parents.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 9:30 AM, Fr. Craig M. Hovanec, Pastor, officiating.
