Adolph F. Majesky
Lorain-Adolph F. Majesky, 95, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice.
Adolph was born to his parents Frank and Jane (nee Budka) Majesky on September 6, 1926 in Lorain, OH where he was a lifetime resident. He went to Nativity BVM School and graduated from Lorain High School in 1944. Adolph served in the United States Army from October 3, 1944 until August 7, 1946. He served in World War II in General Patton’s Third Army in the 11th Armored Division where his unit liberated the Mauthausen Concentration Camp in Austria. He married his beloved wife, Lynette (nee Lenzen) Majesky on May 25, 1948 and they had six children. Adolph worked for U.S. Steel for 43 years as an inspector. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, and he enjoyed traveling.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lynette Majesky; parents, Frank and Jeanette Majesky; step-mother, Alice Majesky; brother, Edward Majesky; and sister, Eleanor Serbu; son-in-law, Daniel Kulics.
He is survived by his children, Tim (Arlene) Majesky of Lorain, Jane Kulics of Apopka, FL, Joni (Jake) Wajand of Glendale, AZ, Joyce Majesky of Lorain, Tish Archambeau of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Joe (Monica) Majesky of Amherst, OH; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Pete Serbu; and many nieces and nephews.
All services are private. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH. Memorial donations may be made in Adolph’s memory to St. Mary’s Food Bank, 309 W 7th St., Lorain, OH 44052.
