Alfred DiLuciano

Alfred DiLuciano, 79, of Lorain, passed away with his loving family by his side on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland, OH.

He was born in Lorain, OH on January 15, 1942 to his loving parents, Antonio and Santarella DiLuciano.

Following his graduation from Lorain High School, Alfred enlisted in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1963. He married Luisa (nee Iodice) on February 19, 1966. Alfred retired from U.S. Steel after 35 years. Alfred was a parishioner at St. Peter Parish in Lorain and he was a member of the IAV Post 1. He was an avid bowler for most of his life and he enjoyed friendly competition at Rebmans and he also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's extracurricular activities.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa DiLuciano; 4 loving grandchildren, Taylor, Dylon, Xavyer, and J.J.; sisters, Rose (Frank – deceased) DeAngelis and Virginia (Eugene – deceased) Bulso; brothers, John, Jim and Tony (Jeanne) DiLuciano; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Luisa DiLuciano; parents, Antonio and Santarella DiLuciano; sister, Anne Tocchi; and brothers, Eusebio, Dominic “Red” and Frank DiLuciano.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 3-7 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:20 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Fr. Craig M. Hovanec, Pastor, officiating.
