Alma G. Feeley

Our Mom, Alma G. Feeley (née Knipper), died on June 27, 2021, with her family at her side after living a good and faithful life for 95 years. She was the kind matriarch of a loving family and a beautiful and dedicated wife to our dad, Terence, for nearly 50 years until his death. Alma supported Terry through their commitment to their family and his service as a career firefighter. She continued to wear his wedding band on her finger from the moment of his death until her own death. She will hold his hand in eternity and once again smile at his quiet wit.

Mom is survived by three daughters, Barbara Alflen (Bob-deceased), Mary Jean Balda and her husband, Tim; and Nancy Feeley; son, Dan and his wife, Kim; daughter-in-law, Kathy (Jim); sister-in-law, Dolores Knipper; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was especially blessed with her granddaughter, Colleen (Balda) Maalouf, and her husband, Karim, who brought joy and happiness to her life until the very end. Our family is forever grateful to her devoted friends Agata, Julie, and Linda.

In addition to her husband, Mom mourned the deaths of her son, Bob Feeley, her daughter, Carol Feeley, her son-in-law, Bob Alflen, her grandson, Jacob Balda, and her great grandchildren, Massimo and Gemma Feeley along with her parents, Aloysius and Anna Knipper, and her siblings, Robert Knipper, Mary Davis Downie, and Aloysius Knipper.

Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Alma was an incredible woman from the moment she was born, wed her husband, Terry, created a fruitful family, and selflessly smiled for others until the end. She and Dad always put everyone else before themselves and are undoubtedly enjoying a long-awaited reunion in heaven.  

Our family will receive friends on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 9:30 a.m until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church 310 W. 8th St (8th and Reid), Lorain. This was her church home for the past 73 years. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. In lieu of flowers, please remember Mom with gifts to the Jacob A.
