Antoinette “Toni” Feldkamp

Antoinette “Toni” Feldkamp, 94, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC. while visiting family for the holidays.

She was born in Lorain, OH on July 17, 1928 to Fred and Rosa (nee Gallo) Catanzarite. She graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1947-A where she was a majorette. Toni married the love of her life, James J. Feldkamp, and had four children. She worked for The White’s Company, Meyer Goldberg Supermarket as a cashier, and Deluca’s Catering as a manager. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lorain until 1963 and then became a member of St. Peter Parish where she was an avid bingo player. She lived in Lorain until 2019 when she moved to Sprenger Independent Living in Avon Lake. Toni was an excellent cook and baker, enjoyed crochet, reading, table games, puzzles, and bowling. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, James Feldkamp; parents, Fred and Rosa Catanzarite; sisters, Mary Ann Szabo and Catherine "Cutty" Catanzarite; brothers, Joseph, Dominic, Julius and Sam Catanzarite; and son-in-law, Richard Kaplan.

She is survived by her sister, Rose Bardar; brother, Fred (Janice-deceased) Catanzarite; sons, Donald (Kathleen) of Bluffton, SC., David (Peggy) of Bluffton, SC. and Dean (Becky) of Loudon, TN; daughter, Debra (Mark) Bressler of Avon Lake, OH; grandchildren, Kristin Feldkamp, Karyn (Joseph) Matejewski, Danielle (Bill) Urbank, Cory (Brian) Hamm, Lindsay (Brent) DeCoster, Kylie (Jeff) Robinson, and Alexandra (Alec) Empson; great-grandsons, Fergus and Ronan Varley, and Samson and Oliver Matejewski; and great-granddaughters, Harper and Hayden Decoster, and Gwendolyn Hamm.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, (440) 244-1961 on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 5-7 PM.  Catholic interment services will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday December 21, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery 555 North Ridge Rd., Lorain, OH with Fr. Craig M. Hovanec, Pastor, officiating (Meet at cemetery main entrance). Memorial donations may be made in Toni’s memory to a charity of donor’s choice.
