Beatrice “Honey” Caserta-Johns

Beatrice “Honey” Caserta-Johns, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon, OH.

Honey was born to her loving parents on July 26, 1928 to Carlo and Jenny (nee Coville) Tocchi in Lorain, OH where she was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Clearview High School and worked at K-Mart for 25 years as a manager in the payroll department. She was a social member of the I.A.V. Post 1 in Lorain, OH and a parishioner of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Elyria, OH. Honey enjoyed crocheting, cooking, playing cards, casino trips with family and friends, dancing with Benny at the IAV where they were known to “rip a rug”, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Honey is survived by her sons, Virgil (Debbie) and Patrick “Pat” (Mary Jo) Caserta; step-children, Timothy Johns and Mark (Pam) Johns, Mary Indre, and Patty (Juan) Munoz; siblings, Jack Tocchi and Norma Flores; nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlo and Jenny Tocchi; first husband, Pasquale “Pat” Caserta; second husband, Benedito “Benny” Johns; sister, Toots (Amos) McClelland and Lucy (Willie) Laschan; brother-in-law, Chuck Flores; sister-in-law, Anne Tocchi; and step-sons, Micky Johns and Larry Indre.

Honey’s family will receive family and friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 2-5 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at 9:30 AM, Monday, October 10, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery, 555 N. Ridge Rd W, Lorain, OH, Deacon John Slatcoff, officiating (meet at cemetery on Monday).
