Beatrice Zanni

Lorain- Beatrice A. (nee: Dinicola) Zanni, 94, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, December 24, 2022. 

She was born November 8, 1928 in Erie, PA to her loving parents, Fred and Molly (Dulio) Dinicola. 

Beatrice graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1947 and went on to Cleveland Academy where she received her Managing Cosmetology License. She married Alfred Zanni on September 29, 1951. Beatrice owned and operated two beauty shops in Lorain and Vermilion.  She worked at Oak Hills for 10 years and at Lorain Products as an assembler for 15 years. Beatrice was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and volunteering at Lorain Community Hospital. 

She is survived by her loving children, Alfred (Linda) Zanni, Michael (Debbie) Zanni, and Teresa (Larry) Nowicki; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred R. Zanni; parents, Fred and Molly Dinicola; and sisters, Anna Campana and Delores Nemeth.

Beatrice’s family would like to thank the staff of New Life Hospice and Adult Comfort Care for their kindness, compassion, and excellent care extended to Beatrice and their entire family.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-GiovannazzoFuneral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain(440) 244-1961 on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 8:20 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at St. Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH, Fr. Craig M. Hovanec, Pastor, officiating. Christian burial services will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH. Memorial donations may be made in Beatrice’s memory to New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053. Online condolences may be sent using www.rsgfuneralhome.com.
