Benjamin W. Skufeeda
Lorain - Benjamin W. Skufeeda, 84, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Benjamin was born in Lorain, OH on May 22, 1936 to his parents, Joseph L. and Zora Mae (nee: Meyers) Skufeeda.
He graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1956A. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. Benjamin married his beloved, Antoinette (nee: Pompei) Skufeeda on February 7, 1959. He started working at the age of nine as a newsboy and for Rebman Rec. After graduation, he started at Lorain Telephone Co., Lisn, then eventually retiring from Digital Analog Design. He also worked several side jobs and drove for various auto dealerships. Benjamin was also a member of the Italian American Veterans (I.A.V.), St. Mary's Parish, St. Peter's Church and St. Anthony's of Lorain. He enjoyed bowling, puzzle books, traveling and going for long rides with his family and their pets.
He is survived by his wife, Antoinette; son, Michael; daughters, Beverly Russo of Maryland, Katherine Trifiletti, Kimberly Noe (Gary) and Christine Falk (Matthew) of Oregon; four grandsons, Eric, Scott, Gary Jr. and Aaron; two granddaughters, Angela and Nicole; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Georgene Skufeeda; brother-in-law, Ron Pompei; God-children, Steven Bailey, Steve Patrlja and Jimmy Gibson; and God-daughter, Julieanne Seders Hoffman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Zora Skufeeda; infant grandson, Lance; brother, Norman; sisters, Mary, Theresa (Babe) and Helen (Honey); In-laws, Anthony and Gladys Pompei.
The family wishes to thank ElaraCare and Mercy New Life Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Benjamin. A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
