Calvin Paul Bobrowski
Lorain - Calvin Paul Bobrowski, 78, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Calvin was born on January 5, 1943. He attended Lorain High School with the Class of 1961 and was later inducted with his football team into the Lorain County Football Hall of Fame. He enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps during his senior year of High School on February 2, 1961 serving in Okinawa and Vietnam and he was honorably discharged on February 2, 1965.He returned home, earned his GED and married his love, Deborah (nee Nau) on August 17, 1968 and they raised their three girls together. Calvin was a former member of St. Stanislaus Church in Lorain where he was past-president of the Holy Name Society and a current member of Nativity B.V.M. Parish in Lorain. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking and jogging. He loved spending time with his family and cherished his grandchildren and adored his great-grandson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, DeborahBobrowski; daughters, Melissa (Brian) Crawford, Dawn Bobrowski and Heather Evans; sister, Cheryl Simmons; grandchildren, Nicholas Munoz, Michael (Laura) Bonzar, Brittany (Anthony) Ocasio, Bryce Crawford and Bailey Crawford; and great-grandson, Julien.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Anna Bobrowski; grandson, Nathaniel Contreras; sister, Karren (Gary) Mullins.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-GiovannazzoFuneral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 4-8 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:20 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 12, 2021 at Nativity B.V.M. Parish, 418 West 15th St, Lorain, OH, Fr. Gerald J. Keller, officiating. Christian burial services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OHwith military honors.
