Lorain – Carinda M. “Carrie” (nee Del Grosso) Six,100, previously an assistant at Thew Shovel, Koehring for 27 years, died at Anchor Lodge Assisted Living in Lorain, OH on January 29, 2023.
She was born on January 10, 1923 in Lorain, Ohio to the late, Joseph Nicola and Rockina (nee Rizzollo) Del Grosso. She attended Lorain High School, graduating with the Class of 1940-B. She was married on December 1, 1945 to Kenneth R. Six for 52 years until his passing on December 1, 1997.
She was a member of St. Peter Parish, the Ladies Auxillary IAV Post 1, St. Peter Seniors, the 24th Street Lunch Gang, and was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital.
Carinda is survived by her nieces and nephews, Nancy (Rob Dolan) Del Grosso of Bellevue, KY, Carl Del Grosso of Amherst, OH, Patrick (Cathy-deceased) Del Grosso of Bremerton, WA, and Carol Del Grosso of San Antonio, TX.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Michael, Pasquale “Patrick” and Matt Del Grosso, all were of the greater Lorain area.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral services at 12:00 PM, Fr. Gerald J. Keller, officiating. Christian burial services will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst, OH. Memorial donations may be made to the I.A.V.
