Carole Jean DiLuciano

Carole Jean DiLuciano (nee Kekic), 90, passed away at her home in Avon, OH on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 with her loving family by her side.

Carole was born in Cleveland, OH on February 23, 1931 to her loving parents, Peter and Gabriella “Ella” Kekic. She attended Lourdes Academy in Cleveland. Carole worked for the Lorain City Schools in the cafeteria in the ‘70s and was also a hairdresser. She married the love of her life, Andonio “Tony” Joseph DiLuciano, on April 16, 1955. Carole was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Roman Catholic Parish in Lorain. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, traveling, her faith, and “Diamond Girls Trips.” Family was the love of her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda L. (Daniel) Smith of Avon, Antoinette “Toni” (Thomas) Sultzer of Lorain and Sharon (Richard) Strong of Vermilion; son, Dominic P. (Kelly) DiLuciano of Sheffield Village; sister, Anna Mae (Cy) Bartlett of Aurora; 12 grandchildren, Amy, Melanie, Angela, Anthony, Matthew, Tracy, Jennifer, Jessica, Mark, Kara, Haley, and Derek; 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Andonio “Tony” DiLuciano; parents, Peter and Ella Kekic; brother, Peter Kekic; sisters, Julie Ducas, Eleanor Johnson and Martha Johnson.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Hospice of The Western Reserve who provided loving and compassionate in-home Hospice Care the past 15 months.

Carol’s family would like to welcome family and friends to join with them for Carol’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 12, 2021 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Roman Catholic Parish, 2143 Homewood Dr, Lorain, OH 44055, Fr. John C. Retar, Pastor, officiating. Christian burial services will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH. Memorial donations may be made in Carole’s loving memory to St Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Dr, Lorain, OH 44055 or Hospice of The Western Reserve, 2173 N Ridge Rd # H, Lorain, OH 44055.
