Christine M. “Tina” Malone

Christine M. “Tina” Malone, homemaker and lifelong resident of Westlake, OH, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the age of 55 with her family by her side at Saint John Westshore Hospital. Christine was born in Lorain, OH on June 29, 1966.  She attended elementary school at Holy Trinity, Avon where her family remained active members of the parish and she was a 1984 graduate of Magnificat High School, Rocky River, OH. Christine remained a member of Holy Trinity Church in Avon.

Christine is survived by her companion of 34 years, David Ward; her three children: daughter, Kayleigh R. Malone; sons, James D. Malone and Jayden R. Ward; aunt, Lucille A. Citro; and uncles, Leo J. Citro and David (Carole) Malone of Carlisle Twp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James R. Malone in 1999 and Theresa M. (nee Citro) Malone in 2016; her sister, Regina A. (Gina) Malone in 2020; and her brother, Anthony J. “Tony” Malone in 1986.

Christine was known for her heart and giving spirit.  Her passions were family, friends, cooking, and caring for animals.  She enjoyed making wonderful family meals to bring people together and the keeping of holiday family traditions.

Christine and her daughter, Kayleigh, worked together for more than 10 years showing and raising Papillons. Christine enjoyed social gatherings and just being around people. Christine was also a tremendous singer and enjoyed performing karaoke with her late sister Gina…they truly had remarkable talent. Her strong spirit and quick wit were part of what made her so wonderful.  She had a wonderful smile and big heart. She had many friends and strived to bring people together. Christine believed in family, love and was always there for those who needed her.
