Diana M. (Tedrow) Schaal

Elyria - Diana Marie Schaal (nee Tedrow) 57, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH. She was born in Bay Village, OH on June 24, 1962 to Harold Tedrow and Helen Ireland.

Dee attended Elyria West High School and later received her G.E.D. She had a passion to help and work with others who have disablilities and special needs. She was a diehard New England Patriots and Cleveland Cavs fan. Dee loved to watch HGTV and lifetime shows and movies. She enjoyed doing renovations around her house and she also loved going on annual trips with her sisters. Dee loved spending time with her boyfriend, children, grandchildren as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins whom some would say she was like a best friend. She enjoyed making her famous lasagna and loved to karaoke. Dee had a laugh that was so contagious, you couldn’t help but to laugh along. She loved to make others laugh whether it was trying to ride on a hover board, jumping on a pogo stick, doing handstands on the couch or just saying the darndest things. She was a kind person who always put others first before herself. Dee was an amazing mother and grandmother and she was always there for her children and grandchildren, even when times were rough. She never gave up.

She is survived by her children, Kelly Schaal of Elyria, Steven (Sarah) Schaal of Elyria and Ashley Schaal of Wakeman; Loving boyfriend; Randy DeMoss; 6 grandchildren, Devon Mayer, Aubrey Mayer, Jayden Olivas, Jack Howard, Vayda Runals and Gunner Schaal; siblings, Carol Marstiller, Becky Freshwater, Bob Tedrow, John Tedrow, Cathy Donovan, Brenda Adams, Laurie Brown, Jeanette Kulcsar, Bruce Brown, Rich Ireland, Chance Ireland and Josh Ireland; step-mother Elayne Tedrow; step-dad Richard Ireland; Aunts; Judy Demetriou and Patricia Jean Waller; and many of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Tedrow and Helen (nee Varner) Ireland; sister; Kimberly “Kimmy” Tedrow.
