Eddie Holman Obituary

Eddie G. Holman, 69, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, OH.

Eddie was born on August 19, 1952 to his parents Freddie Cornelius and Nina C. (nee Appleton) Holman in Cleveland, OH where he was raised.  In 1976 he joined the U.S. Airforce and traveled to many locations including Italy until he was honorably discharged in 1982. On December 24, 1982 he married the love of his life, Susan E. (nee Guthrie) Holman. He obtained his Associates degree in computer technology, but his many life lessons far exceeded any degree. He was also ordained when he was just 17 years old and he was a Pastor of Christ Temple Apostolic Fellowship Center for 21 years. Later he moved to Sandusky, OH in 2000 in ministry until 2017. Afterward he moved to Lorain, OH where he has lived ever since. His last job was working as an I.T. specialist for Lorain City Schools. Eddie enjoyed a lifetime of volunteer work, hunting, fishing, flying, singing, and praising God whether by playing the organ or singing with his family. 

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan E. Holman, of Lorain; children, Dana (Tommy) Shepherd of Pinson, AL, Celeste (Robert) Voss of Florida, Sabrina (Spencer) Gonazles of West Virginia, Renata (Jason) Newton of Readsboro, VT, Yvonne (David) Jordan of Sandusky, Felicia Egbert of Lorain, Dominica (Cory) Rone of Columbus, Bonita (Jeremy) Allen of Ypsilanti, MI, Angelica Holman of Detroit, MI, Eddie (Makayla) Holman of Columbus, Jason (Crystal) Holman of Norwalk, Kenneth Holman of Lorain, Tabitha Holman of Columbus, Christopher (Char) Holman of Sandusky, several children adopted by love, an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, 8 siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Lydia Nadine Egbert in 2008.
