Erica Suzanne (nee Paul) Barnard, 43, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Ames Family Hospice House in Hospice of the Western Reserve in Westlake, OH after a year long battle with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Carcinoma.

Erica graduated from Seabreeze high school in Daytona Beach, FL and was most recently employed by Cross Country Healthcare. The family relocated from Florida to Amherst, OH earlier this year when she then became a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Lorain. Erica loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was an avid seamstress, baker, and loved arts and crafts.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jason; son, Devyn; daughter, Katelyn; father, Lawrence; sisters, Alisha (Mike) Vaughn and Ellen Paul; brother, Richard (Colleen) and Joseph (Kim). She is also survived by her father-in-law, Paul (Judy) Barnard; mother-in-law, Marilyn Barnard; sister-in-law's Lisa (Chris) Tomshack and Jodi Lorenzo; brother-in-law, David (Michelle) Lorenzo; along with cherished extended family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the Ames Family Hospice House for the compassionate and loving care they gave to Erica.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Lorain, 418 W 15th St., on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM for the Mass of Christian Burial, Fr. Craig M. Hovanec, Pastor, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Erica’s memory can be made to Ames Family Hospice House, 30080 Hospice Way, Westlake, OH 44145, or Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish of Lorain, 418 W 15th St, Lorain, OH 44052.
