John Ronald Stowe

John Ronald Stowe passed away at home September 22 after a long illness.   He was born December 13, 1940 in Lorain to William D. and Madelyn O’Hara Stowe.  He grew up in Lorain and in Sheffield Village where he graduated from Brookside in 1959.  He served in the Ohio National Guard. He married Lucy Satelli on May 8, 1965 and raised three children.  For 50 years he operated Stowe’s Barber Shop and there developed loyal customers and lifelong friends.  He was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church.

John is survived by his wife Lucy (nee Satelli), his brother William David (Regina), his children Bishop John Stowe of Lexington, Kentucky; Sheri Roberge (Chris) and Brent, his devoted helper; along with his grandchildren Nicole, Jonathon and Daniel, their brother Jimmy, and his nieces and nephews.

Visitation at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 2 PM until the time of the Vigil Service at 6:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:20 AM. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1305 East Erie Ave., Lorain, OH, Bishop John Stowe, officiating, with Bishop Edward Malesic of Cleveland, concelebrant, and burial services following at Ridge Hill Memorial in Amherst, OH.
