Jose Manuel Rivera-Texidor Jr., 35, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

Jose was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on January 4, 1987. He lived in Puerto Rico as a child and later moved to Lorain, OH where he remained a resident. He was a graduate of Southview High School in 2005. He married his love, Brook Ashley (nee Rodriguez) Rivera, on February 1, 2005. He was an auto mechanic at his shop, Rivera Auto Repair LLC. Jose enjoyed playing softball, fishing, bowling, watching the Cavs, Indians, and Browns games, and gardening. He coached softball, soccer, and baseball, and loved working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Brook Rivera; son, Iseah Rivera; daughters, Danalyse and Jalysa Rivera; mother, Luz E. Texidor of Lorain, OH; father, Jose M. Rivera, of Puerto Rico; sister, Esther Rivera of Puerto Rico, Joan Lebron and Diana Rivera, of Lorain; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 2:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 PM.
