Laura L. Sanders, 62, of Amherst, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, May 13, 2022.

Laura had a deep and growing relationship with God that she loved to share with the people around her. She valued relationships, and her laughter, faith and joy impacted her family, neighbors, coworkers and the many children she worked with as a pediatric dental assistant and through programs at her church. Her many nieces and nephews knew “Aunt Laura” was always a source of fun and zany activities. Laura enjoyed gardening and flowers, and was always up for an adventure, especially outdoors in nature. She especially enjoyed attending plays with her husband. 

Throughout her long and courageous battle with cancer Laura was unceasingly cheerful and kind. She was a source of encouragement and hope to others at the cancer treatment center.

Laura was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Geraldine (McCormick) Grills and her brother, Albert. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 28 years, Patrick Sanders, her sister, Sharron Popa and brother, Wesley Grills. She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by her extended family members and many friends. 

Laura’s family will receive family and friends on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Trinity Church, 46485 Middle Ridge Rd. Amherst, Ohio from 10:30 AM until the time of a Celebration of Laura’s Life at 11:00 AM, Pastor Vern Giesbrecht, officiating with a reception immediately following.
