Lila (nee Griffith) Charlton, 71, a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend has found her way to Heaven. Sunset was on Saturday, October 7, 2023 in her hometown of Elyria, Ohio. Sunrise on her life was January 20, 1952 in Elyria.

Lila lived a life full of love and dedication to her family. She was the cherished wife of Kenneth R. Charlton for 35 beautiful years. Lila was the devoted mother of two sons. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to countless friends and relatives, each she treated with the same warmth and kindness. Lila was the friendly face everyone looked forward to seeing at the Country Kitchen, where she worked as a hostess. Her interests were simple yet profound. She had a deep passion for caring for everyone around her. Lila was the person that remembered birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions and special events. She was the first to offer a helping hand in times of need, and she was always ready to celebrate the joys of life with those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar "Jack" Griffith; and her toddler brother, Robert Griffith.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Charlton; sons, Brian Staller and Allen Charlton; mother, Ginny Griffith; and her siblings, David (Carolyn) Griffith and Patricia (Tony) Ribaric; and many other family members and friends who will miss her deeply.

The family will receive friends at the Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home 2150 Broadway Loran, OH on Monday, October 16th, 2023 from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 PM Pastor Lorri Bandagski, officiating.
