Manuel “Manny” Lopez

Manuel "Manny" Lopez, 65, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023. Manny was a lifelong resident of Lorain, OH, where he was born on September 21, 1958.

Manny was a proud graduate of Southview High School, class of 1977. After high school, Manny honed his skills and built his career as a welder, a craft he excelled in and took pride in. He worked diligently at Republic Steel retiring from U.S. Steel, where he was an active member of the Union Steel Workers #1104. He also worked at P.C. He could often be found on the golf course or at the bowling alley, where his competitive spirit and camaraderie shone through. A lifelong Cleveland sports fan, Manny was renowned for his unwavering support of all Cleveland teams, especially the Browns. His friends and family fondly remember him as the #1 Cleveland Browns fan.

(nee Encalado), on May 29, 2014, marking a new chapter in a life shared with laughter, support, and deep affection. Together, they navigated the ups and downs of life with grace and unwavering partnership.

Manny's legacy is one of warmth, humor, and generosity. He lived a life that exemplified hard work, dedication to community, and an unshakeable love for those around him. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, yet his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
