Marjorie P. Babinsky
Lorain- Marjorie P. Babinsky (nee Pekare), 75, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Amherst Manor in Amherst, OH following a short illness.
Marjorie was born on February 22, 1947 to her loving parents, Robert F. Sr. and Margaret E. (nee Bereznay) Pekare in Lorain, OH where she was a lifelong resident.
She was a 1965 graduate of Lorain High School. She married the love of her life, James M. Babinsky, on May 29, 1981. In her earlier years, Marjorie worked for the Lorain Telephone Company as an operator. She then remained a homemaker, where she took care of her children. Her biggest accomplishment was being able to educate all three of her children with a college education . She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and she loved watching her favorite players, Bob Lemon, Lyle Alzado, and Jim Thome. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Lorain, OH where she enjoyed talking with friends and playing Keno. Marjorie also enjoyed shopping, decorating, watching FoxNews, and all holiday celebrations.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie M. Babinsky of Lorain; two sons, Scott A. (Amy) Warner of Pittsburgh, PA; Bryan M. (Dianne) Warner of Hermitage, PA; brother, Robert F. (Karen) Pekare Jr.; and grandchildren, Brenden Warner, Conner Warner, Taylor Warner and Camryn Warner.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James M. Babinsky; and parents, Robert Sr. and Margaret Pekare.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM and Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Marjorie’s son, Rev. Bryan M. Warner, officiating. Christian burial services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH.
