Lorain – Michael A. Wyers, 47, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.

He was born on March 24, 1975 in Amherst, OH to his loving parents, George Jr. and Karen Wyers.

Michael graduated from Fireland High School, Class of 1993 and continued his education in nursing at Lorain County Community College, earning his Associate degree in 1998.

He was a nurse with MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. Michael was an avid fan of drag racing and hotrods and he enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, dirtbikes and motorcycles. He also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, playing video games and playing his guitar. Michael loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, Karen (nee DeBerry) Wyers; girlfriend of 17 years, Stacey L. Gentry; nieces and nephews, Renee, Alyssa, Ava, Austin, Anderson, Gabriella and Ashlynn; and beloved pet dog, Dash.

He was preceded in death by his father, George H. Wyers Jr.in 2018; and sister, Jennifer Hylton in May 2022.

Michael’s family will receive family and friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 2:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 PM, Rev. Harold D. Hylton, officiating. Memorial donations may be made in Michael’s memory to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Rd, Lorain, OH 44053.
