Lorain – Rick J. Pratt, 64, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Avon Towne Center in Avon Lake, OH with loving family by his side.

He enlisted on April 4, 1979 and proudly served in the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged on April 2, 1982. Rick married his love, Janice (nee Eggeson) Pratt, on March 17, 1979. He worked in assembly at the Ford Motor Company in Lorain. He enjoyed woodworking and making gifts for his grandchildren. Most of all, Rick enjoyed being at home with his family, his dogs, and sitting outside on his porch.

Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Pratt; daughters, Jacqueline Longhi and Beth (Steve) Pular; mother, Roma Friend; father, Joe (Rosa) Pratt; sisters, Kim Banks and Crystal Bean; brother, Kevin Pratt; cherished grandchildren, Lucas and Olivia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and nephew, Joey Pratt.

Rick’s family will receive family and friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and at Toledo Road United Church of Christ 5075 Toledo Road, Lorain, OH on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the time of funeral services at 10:00 AM, Elder Hillard G. Bates, officiating. Funeral procession will depart from the Church following a luncheon at 12:45 PM for Christian burial services at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH with honors by the U.S. Army.
