Shereen M Smarsh

Shereen M. Smarsh (nee Berlin), 83, of Lorain, Ohio passed away on April 10, 2023. She was born on December 28, 1939 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Rosemary (nee O'Neil) Scalero and Howard L. Berlin. Shereen graduated from St.  Mary's High School in Lorain, Ohio and married her husband Donald Smarsh on April 30, 1960. Together, they raised their family in Lorain and remained steadfast residents there for over 60 years. She was employed at Lorain County Community College and found great joy as an Avon Cosmetic Rep. She was a faithful member of St. Vincent De Paul Church in Elyria, Ohio. Shereen will be remembered fondly for her love of the water and boating. She always enjoyed a good crossword puzzle or word search!

Shereen is survived by her loving children Donna, Diana, and Mark Smarsh of Lorain, OH; granddaughters Kara Smarsh of Los Angeles, CA and Leah Smarsh of Nashville, TN; and brother Bryan Berlin of Phoenix, AZ. She is preceded in death by her infant son Joseph Smarsh, and husband Donald Smarsh.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 4-8 PM at Reidy- Scanlan- Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10  AM at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 41295 North Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 440235. Please meet at the church. Interment will take place Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 10 AM. Please meet at the cemetery. Condolences may be left on Shereen's memorial page at rsgfuneralhome.com
