Susanna “Susie” Ientile

Susanna “Susie” Ientile (nee Skinner), 65, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at her home in Lorain, OH.

Susie was born to her loving parents, Laco Ray and Betty Louise (nee Wright) Skinner, on October 2, 1957 in Lorain where she was a lifelong resident. She married the love of her life, Joseph C. Ientile, on April 2, 1977. Susie will be remembered for her love of thrill rides and roller coasters, being an avid reader, who loved traveling to Las Vegas and Disney World, but most of all being a loving grandmother. She was often referred to as “The Mama”, by the numerous lives she touched.

She could often be found playing with her grandchildren, and in attendance of their many events and activities. She will be remembered for the endless love and support she poured into all those around her. She was a source of love and light that will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Joe Ientile; children, Boyd (Heather), Adam (Amaily), and Dustin (Jessica) Ientile; grandchildren, William Skinner of Lorain; sisters, Marcia Stottlemire of Hobart, Indiana, Deborah (Rueben) Hance of Lorain, Monica (James) Herbert of Middleburgh Heights, and Peggy Robinson of Lorain; brothers, Dale and Jeffrey Skinner of Easly, South Carolina, Timothy (Patti) Skinner, and Gary Skinner of Elyria; and her many “adopted” children that she loved throughout the years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Laco and Betty Skinner; brothers, Norman and Ronald Skinner; and sisters, Leslie and Roberta Skinner.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the funeral home, Pastor Chuck Behrens, officiating. The burial will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Lorain, OH immediately following the funeral service.
