Terry Ann Fechtner-Roe
Terry Ann Fechtner-Roe, 57, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 26th, 2021 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born on October 20th, 1963 in Cleveland, OH to her loving parents, Elmer Charles and Dolores Theresa (nee Poplyk) Fechtner. She was with her husband Darren V. Roe Sr. since 1978 and married since September 12th, 2015.
Terry was a program major at Southern Ohio College in Cleveland, Ohio where she earned a Microcomputer Operations Specialist diploma. She worked as a professional mail machine operator and carrier with BP Oil in Brook Park for 15 years. Following her tenure with BP Oil she worked another 9 years in her profession at May Credit Service Center in Lorain before retiring.
Terry was a lover of all people and animals alike. She always put others first and was the most loving mother, spouse, sister and friend who enjoyed making others laugh and smile. Terry was a big fan of American singer-songwriter, Prince and loved to dance, listen to music, and attend concerts. Terry’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, pets, and especially her granddaughter Addie who she referred to as her “Sunshine” and “Cutie-Pie.”
Terry is survived by her sisters Iris Fechtner and Karen Chrosniak, beloved husband Darren Roe Sr., son Darren Roe Jr and his wife Celina, granddaughter Adelynn Roe and her dog, Jackie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Dolores Fechtner.
Terry’s family will receive family and friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH, (440) 244-1961 on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral services at 12:00 PM. Burial services will immediately follow at New Russia Township Cemetery in Oberlin, OH. Masks and social distancing are required during all funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Terry’s loving memory for Addies’s college fund (make payable to Darren Roe Jr. (memo for Adelynn Roe).
