He graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1945. Marino attended Case Western Reserve University as a pre-med student before being drafted into the U.S. Army. He worked at US Steel in the dock office until his retirement. Angelo found joy working at Fligner's Market in Lorain behind the meat counter on the weekends. He was a member of St. Peter Parish where he was involved in many activities and served in several leadership roles: Holy Name Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Marriage Encounter, Eucharistic Minister, Senior Citizens and decorating the church for the Christmas season. Marino's interests included: gardening, making and selling Italian sausage at the Lorain International Festival, playing the piano and listening to classical music, keeping a daily journal for decades, and bringing joy to many thru his letters sent to loved ones. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially around the dinner table.
